General FAQs
- What facilities are provided by Newton's Nation?
- There will be:
- Toilets
- Showers
- Free water stations
- General store
- Food stalls
- Non-alcoholic beverages

- Cloak room
- ATM
- Plenty of shade
- Lots and lots of entertainment!
- Can I park my car at the venue?
- More information regarding parking space coming soon.
- Will there be shuttle busses to the event?
- Yes, there will be a shuttle bus which will stop at the train station then William Street before heading to the Mountain. There will also be a bus travelling from the bottom of the Mountain to the festival site frequently. Full timetables will be released soon.
- Are there pass outs?
- Yes you can come and go from the festival as you wish over the weekend. Remember your wristband is your pass out so please do not take it off or you will not be allowed back in.
- Will there be an ATM at the event?
- There will be a cash out facility however please do not rely on this. Try to bring enough cash with you.
- Will there be food and beverages available at the event?
- Yes. There will be a smorgasbord of international food stalls catering to all tastes and dietary requirements. There will also be several bars selling a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
- Can I BYO alcohol in to the campsite?
- No, the campground is an alcohol free zone. You are not allowed to BYO alcohol even if you are camping. There will be a bar open until 2am.
- Will there be toilets and showers at the event?
- Yes, there are ample toilets and showers throughout the site.
- Can I purchase tobacco products at the event?
- No. It is against NSW law to sell tobacco products at an all ages festival. You can smoke at the event in the designated smoking areas.
- Will my bags be searched at the event?
- Bag searches will be conducted by security staff upon entry. This is to ensure the safety of all patrons at the event. Please do not bring your own alcohol, it will be confiscated.
- Will the event be cancelled if it rains?
- No, the show will go on so we recommend you prepare for any weather changes when packing your gear
- Will there be alcohol free areas at the event?
- Yes. There will be a designated alcohol free area near the main stage. The campgrounds are also alcohol free zones
- Will there be free water at the event?
- Yes, there will be water stations where you can fill up your water bottle free of charge. There will also be cold spring water available for purchase from the bars.
- Can I bring my skateboard / bike to the event?
- Unfortunately no, you cannot bring any skateboards, bikes etc in to the event. For the safety and comfort of other patrons you will not be allowed to bring them in. There will be a cloak room at the entry point where you can check your bike or board in & grab it when you leave.
- Will the festival area and campsite be safe?
- Yes. There will be security, marshals, police, first aid and an ambulance present at all times during the event ensuring all patrons are safe.
- Will there be shade at the event?
- Yes. Along with the beautiful trees that call Mount Panorama home, we will also provide extra shade clothed areas and marquees.
- Will there be first aid at the event?
- Yes. The first aid areas will be well signed and listed on the site map.
Ticket FAQs
- Do I need to purchase a ticket to the event?
- Yes, Newton’s Nation is a fully ticketed event. You must purchase a ticket to gain entry.
- Is this an all ages event?
- Yes.
Concession tickets are for children or students and pensioner card holders. Valid student or pensioner ID must be shown upon entry.
Children are 12 years or younger and must be accompanied by an adult.
Children 6 and under are admitted free.
Wristbands will be issued for those who are 18+ and wish to purchase alcohol at the event. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to have Photo ID upon entry as you will be asked for it and require it upon entry to the event. Valid ID examples: RTA Proof of Age Card Australia Passport Australian Drivers License - When will the sports competitions and demonstrations be on?
- All of the sports action will run during the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- When will the bands be on?
- The Main Stage will be open with the bands performing on Friday and Saturday nights only
- Which nights can we camp?
- Camping will be allowed on Friday and Saturday nights
- What type of ticket do I need to buy?
- Here’s what each ticket will get you. Not all tickets allow access to music and sports, so if you want to see both make sure you purchase the correct ticket.
Day Pass = sports only Night Pass = music only Mountain Pass = sports and music for only 1 day 2 Night Red Eye Pass = Music only on both nights (so you see ALL the bands) 3 Day Adrenelin Junkie Pass = Sports only every day (so you see ALL the sports) 3 Day 2 Night Big Kahuna Pass = Access to all sports and music for the whole event (you won’t miss a thing!) Camping pass = These are sold per person, per night and must be purchased if you wish to camp - Is camping included with my ticket?
- No. You need to purchase a camping ticket per person, per night if you wish to stay.
- Will there be a "quiet" campsite option for families?
- Yes. When you purchase your camping pass you can choose if you would like to stay in the general camping area or the family camping area.
Camping FAQs
- How many camping areas are there?
- Newton’s Nation is offering several camping areas. When purchasing your camping pass on Moshtix you can nominate if you would like to stay in the family friendly campground or the general campground. There will also be a VIP campground called the Tepee Reserve. Please check the camping page for more information
- When can I arrive at Newton’s Nation to set up my campsite?
- Strictly only after 9am Friday 26th November. Any time after that is fine. The event closes at 5pm on Sunday 28th November, all campers must leave then.
- If I don’t have a camping ticket can I still stay with my friends?
- No. All campers must have a valid camping ticket to access the campgrounds.
- Will there be security in the camping area?
- There will be camping marshals and security in each camping area. There is also a Police Office on site.
- Can I bring alcohol into the camping area?
- No alcohol is permitted in the campground, you cannot BYO. Security will be conducting car searches and any alcohol found will be confiscated. Bars are open until 2am in case you are thirsty.
- Can I bring fireworks into the campground?
- No. Fireworks are illegal.
- Can I bring furniture and a stereo?
- Basic furniture such as fold out chairs and an umbrella is OK, but we advise against bringing much more than that. There will be communal shady areas in the campground where you can chill out with your friends. Stereos aren’t permitted as they may disrupt other campers.
- Can we have a fire at our campsite?
- No, fires are not permitted.
- Are there showers and toilets?
- Yes. There are existing toilet and shower blocks, plus extra portable toilets where needed
General Do's and Don'ts
Do's
- Drink responsibly and look after each other
- Bring your ID if you want to drink. Even if you look like Steven Tyler you will not be able to drink at the event without valid ID
- Bring clothes for all weather extremes, we party rain, hail or shine!
- Respect all event staff including security and bartenders, they are all very friendly and it’s their job to look out for you!
- Remember your toiletries
- Bring enough cash for the weekend’s worth of food, drinks and a little shopping at the markets. Please do not rely on access to ATMs
- A refillable water bottle, hat and sunscreen
- Bring your mates and have an amazing weekend
Don’ts In the interest of having a fun and safe weekend, we ask you DO NOT bring the following to our event:
- Alcohol - even if you are camping. Security will be performing searches and any alcohol brought in from outside the event can and will be confiscated
- Drugs – there will be sniffer dogs and Police present over the weekend
- Fireworks / firecrackers
- Anything that is illegal or inappropriate, use your common sense.
- Bring large sound systems that might annoy your campsite neighbours, there will be late night entertainment provided
- Bring any items of significant value. NN takes no responsibility for items lost at the event. There will be a lost and found station however it is best just not to bring valuables in the first place
