Getting There

Getting There

Bathurst is located in Central West New South Wales, surrounded by lush green hills, vineyards and orchids.

There are several ways you can get there:

Train

Cityrail travels to Bathurst from Sydney daily and is the most comfortable and scenic option, and better for the environment. You will travel through the Blue Mountains before arriving at Bathurst where you can catch your free connecting shuttle to the mountain. Or you can train to Lithgow and catch a country link bus to Bathurst. There are 9 services on Friday, 3 on Saturday and four returns on Sunday. Check out https://bookings.countrylink.nsw.gov.au

Air

Regional Express flys to Bathurst direct from Sydney and a range of regional airports. It’s only a 40min trip from Sydney, or catch a connecting flight if you’re coming from interstate.

Car

Bathurst is approximately 3 hours drive from Sydney. However this is our least recommended option as there will be limited parking and it will leave a bigger carbon footprint. We highly recommend car pooling if there is no other option for you. There are also various coaches that travel to Bathurst, more information can be found on their individual websites. There will be free shuttle busses frequently travelling up and down Mount Panorama from various destinations in Bathurst including the train and bus stations.
